Character Description

These creatures are warriors of the sea. They have ferocious rows of shark-like teeth and a layer of impenetrable scales. Their weapons are made from materials they forage in the ocean. While the scream of a dalisaya is powerful enough to scare almost any enemy, they are equally well known for their beautiful singing. Together, dalisayas live in a unique, insular nation, untouched by mortals. Dalisayas will not allow outsiders to taint their way of living, so much so that they choose to live deep in the ocean to minimize the chances of an outsider wandering into their nation. They have their own set of traditions and are stubborn to a fault. It is difficult, if not impossible, to convince one to change their mind. In a similar vein, they are known to fall in love once and stay committed until the day they die.

Personality Traits

Dalisayas carry a warrior’s spirit. No matter their physical strength, their strength of character is unmatched by any other sign. They are self-disciplined, honest and they never give up.

 

Strength, for a Dalisaya, comes from two places. The first is their complete faith in their inner compass. Dalisayas have a strong moral code. Their sense of right and wrong is absolute, and they never hesitate to do what they know is right. The second source of strength comes from their community. Nothing brings a Dalisaya more joy than doing good by someone else.

 

Justice is unbending, and so are Dalisayas. There is no being a bystander to a Dalisaya - there is only stepping up to help. While it can sometimes lead them to conflict, and it isn’t always easy to do, the world is always better for the good a Dalisaya brings to it.
