Character Description

This is a fearsome bird of prey who is constantly on the prowl to steal the moon. The Kinokawa was entranced by how the moon reflects on its wings and now desires the moon for its hypnotic glow. The chase begins as soon as the sun sets and goes until sunrise. By the time the Kinokawa even gets close enough to reach the moon, it is already too late and the brightness of the newly risen sun instead drives it away. Its feathers are made entirely of metal and steel. They are cool to the touch, yet are sharp and impenetrable. The beating of its wings resembles the sound of wind chimes, but do not mistake that musical sound for a friendly creature. The Kinokawa is dangerous.

Personality Traits

Passion is a Kinokawa’s middle name. The specific passion will differ between people, but Kinokawas carry a universal love of beautiful things. It can take them some time to find, but when a Kinokawa stumbles upon something they really like, they will dive into it as deeply as they can. Anything goes, from honing their skills to collecting rare and expensive objects.

Regardless of how extravagant a Kinokawa’s love is, they themselves are quite humble. In fact, many Kinokawas carry an intense hatred of vanity. Most of their capacity for love is spent on their interests and close relationships.

Perhaps because they’ve got such high standards for what becomes their passion, Kinokawas can be quite hard to get out of their shells. It’s not that they dislike other people, but they’re not very outgoing. They’re a little bit shy, even. Or maybe picky. Get one talking about what they like though, and they’ll continue for as long as you let them. When they find someone who shares their interest, they’ll find they make remarkably quick friends. Once a Kinokawa opens up, they are incredibly reliable friends.
